About Last Month...

I have been so busy that I haven't been able to update so I am just using a slideshow to update the last few weeks. Here are the highlights:

*I took a great trip to UT and surprised my mom for her big birthday. She had no idea the girls and I were coming. It was great! That same weekend I got to go to Savannah's baby blessing and enjoy some much needed sister time with Cassie (and our 4 kids of course).

*Gabby had a "just for fun" princess party with all her classmates. We had a great time pretending we were all fancy princesses.

*The Easter bunny came a week early during conference. The candy kept the kids busy enough that the adults could actually hear some speakers.

*Josh & I took a house-hunting trip to where we will move in 6 weeks. It was phenomenal. I cannot believe I get to live there. Most of the neighborhoods are like communities. The one we are trying to live in is really big. It has a guard gate where you have to show ID if you don't live there. It has its own pool, restaurant, post office, gas station, fishing pond, realty office, tennis courts, putting green, exercise room etc. I was sold the minute we drove in and had to stop for a turtle that was crossing the road. It was about a foot and a half in diameter! The beach is really nice and the girls seemed to like the water.

The most eventful part of the trip was getting to know the local hospital. Within 24 hours of arrival we were at the ER. Both girls were diagnosed with pneumonia. In addition, Abigail had influenza and Natasha had the croup. They got the antibiotics but it took a few days to get better. Their lungs are pretty scarred from the RSV so it will take a while before they have much resistance to illness. We are learning that "simple" has a different meaning with our sweet little twins. Meanwhile, it wasn't the easiest to see homes. We still don't have anything signed but we hope to before the first of May.

Good news, Bad news

The good news is that they only have to have 1 surgery--ear tubes (easy enough). The other issue won't go away, but they hope to minimize and control it. Hurray! The bad news is that the physical therapist mentioned today that they may need braces on their legs and feet to be able to stand and walk. Apparently their muscles really let them hyper-extend making it difficult to stand without wobbling. I was a bit bummed but I have decided that her opinion is valuable, but things can still change. I am being hopeful and realistic at the same time. They are not expected to start walking until around age 2. Right now they are still months away from just sitting so we will take our own sweet time.

Besides, we are still on a high from our short Utah visit. I would post more about it but it is after 10 and I am exhausted.

Some March Fun
