Fulfilling my promise
I promised Josh that I would update regularly but I can't seem to download photos. Josh has seen all these, but I really hope to get my dad to help download the newer ones soon. I am hoping to get a video of how good the twins are doing at walking. They can take 4-5 steps at a time now. They do better when they have their braces on but they can do it without.
We have spent spring & early summer battling colds, roseola (for the 2nd time) and a bout with walking pneumonia for Abigail. Hopefully we will be well enough soon to do more fun things. In the meantime we have filled our time as much as we could.
Josh took Nate, James & my 2 nephews to the motocross at Miller Motorsportspark. They all got awesome model cars and the 2 older ones got to do a peel-out with a professional driver on a special track. They loved it! Aren't they just so cute in their Dodge bandannas?!
My sister has been helping me quite a bit as I am getting tired now (baby coming next month). Her son Sam is Andrew's best bud. Here is Savannah & Abigail. Although she is 9 months younger she is ahead of the twins and has been their inspiration to walk & talk. They just adore her.
The trampoline is our salvation. My parents bought this when I was 12. Despite several repairs, it is still going strong. My kids play the same games I did and love to jump with the sprinkler under it. Andrew could only jump for 3 min or so when we arrived. Now he can go for up to 15 min (especially if he is with Sam). He has lost at least an inch from his waist and is starting to slim down a bit. Josh & I have decided that this little piece of physical therapy is a must-have for our home in the future.
My twins are getting so spoiled! Grandpa takes them on walks around the yard and lets them touch everything. A few weeks ago my brother Clint stopped by after work and Abigail B-lined it to him, pulled herself up on his knees and held out her hands. As soon as he picked her up she made the sign for "more" (she uses it for treats). We died laughing because this was the first day Clint has ever shown up without Junior Mints for the twins. I had to run for M&M's really fast so it didn't damage his reputation! The girls also found Grandpa & Clint when it was dessert time at a family gathering. They know who the suckers are! Just as a side note, Abigail now says the word "treat". She gets rewarded every time she uses it so that it re-enforces speaking. Lately she is on a sugar-high a lot!
The nicest thing about being here is spending time with friends and family that we haven't been able to see for a while. It has been fun for my kids to get reacquainted with their cousins and we have really enjoyed the company of our parents & siblings (although I am not sure I want to claim this one!!)
