For possibly our last trip while in Florida, since we are not sure where Josh will get a job, we decided to go to Key Largo and Islamorada. Nate also requested to go camping for his birthday. So we blended the ideas and camped in the Keys!
This is the first thing we saw as we crossed the bridge into the Keys!!
After finding our camping spot, we hurried to go to Robbie's Marina to feed the 6 foot Tarpon (some were at least 100 pounds)!
Kim decided to wrestle with Tasha instead of enjoying the great view behind her. :)
Family staring into the feeding area where about 20 Tarpin are waiting for some kid to fall into the water. A bucket of fish was only $3.00. This was probably the kids' favorite part of the trip.
In order to get the feeding area we had to get past the guards. The 20 or so pelicans were not afraid of anyone and at one point tried to peck at Abigail!!
Nate trying to get one of the Tarpon to jump out of the water and grab his well-advertised fish!!
Gabby wanted to test the pelican's will. So she kicked at the bird. (PETA was not around).
Tasha also tried to kick a bird like her sister Gabby. Poor girl! In Tasha's defense the pole was the same color as the pelicans :)
Abigail wanted to kick them too!!!
Nate spear-headed dinner arrangements for the night. He was so excited to do it all himself.
Camping is not complete without smores!!
