Our stake had a Pinewood Derby that was so fun for our whole family to attend. Josh and I are very proud of Nate because he worked so hard on his car. The only tool we had to shape it was a "saw's all" so he had to spend hours and hours sanding it down to what you see here. He was so excited to race it and he did really well. We discovered after the first race that his car went faster backwards. Once he raced it backwards, he ended up coming in 4th place overall. He also got an award for the car with the most stealth.
Coming home we could not resist the 80 degree weather so we bought some deli stuff at the store and had a picnic at a beach in that area. It was beautiful but we stuck out terribly. We were the only ones under 60 on the whole beach. The kids were excited to be able to play in the freezing water and run on the sand for a while. As per tradition, Andrew collected a whole bunch of "seashelfs".
